Shrines Structure in Islam
(An article to describe the ground realities about shrine structures)

Let us review the structure of Muslim Shrines prevailing in the world. This will help us to conceive the exact perception and the importance of these marks of Allah JSN.

We will divide our review following parts

a. The shape of grave

b. The room structure on the grave.

c. The colored cloth sheets on the graves

d. The brick construction for the grave.

e. The stone fixing on the grave.

f. The dome on the grave.

THE SHAPE OF THE GRAVE

How the shape of grave should be!

Let us refer Noble Bukhari, Volume 1, Hadith No. 1301.

It is quoted by Muhammad Ibne Abdullah, Abu Bakar bin Aysha, Safian u Tumar that we saw the grave of Prophet SAW like hump.

So all over the world, the graves of Muslims are constructed about half to one meter projecting from the ground like hump. This is as per Sunnah of Prophet SAW.

THE ROOM STRUCTURE ON GRAVE

The grave of prophet SAW was constructed in the home. The home was simple a room of Hadrat Ayesha Siddiqa RA.

THE COLORED CLOTH SHEETS ON THE GRAVES

Let us refer Noble Muslim, Volume 1, Hadith No. 733.

It is quoted by Hadrat Ibne Abbas RA that a red cloth sheath was laid down on the grave of prophet SAW.

THE BRICK CONSTRUCTION FOR THE GRAVE

Let us refer Noble Muslim, Volume 1, Hadith No. 2136.

It is quoted by Amar bin Saad RA that during the illness that caused the death of Hadrat Saad bin Waqas RA;

Hadrat Saad bin Waqas left his will;

Make my grave like the grave of prophet SAW and furnish it with bricks like it was done for the grave of Prophet SAW

THE STONE FIXING ON THE GRAVE

Let us refer Noble Mishkat, Volume 'Dafan' (burial), referred from Abu Daood

Prophet SAW buried Hadrat Uthman bin Mazoon RA. After burial fixed a stone on the grave and said;

' By this we will be able to recognize the grave of brother. And we will bury in vicinity whom elapses from our family.'

THE CONSTRUCT THE DOME ON THE GRAVE

Let us refer Noble Muatta Imam Malik; Abu Abad Suleman RA quotes;

Hadrat Umar RA managed the dome construction on the grave of Hadrat Zainab binte Hajash RA.

Hadrat Ayesha Siddiqa RA managed the construction of dome on the Grave of His brother Hadrat Abdul Rehman bin Abu Bakar RA.

Muhammad Ibne Hanfia (Ibne Hadrat Ali RA) managed the construction of dome on the grave of Hadrat Abdullah Ibne Abbas RA.

FATAL CONFUCION

A fatal confusion grips the wealthy ranks of Muslims due to the following Hadith;

Noble Mishkat, Chapter Burial, Abu Biaj Asadi quotes that Hadrat Ali RA asked me;

' Why not I send to you on a assignment for that prophet SAW send to me; Delete the pictures and make the graves level as per ground level. '

This was the order for the graves of Infidels and not for the graves of the Muslims. That was tenure of companions of Prophet SAW. And no Muslim can imagine at that time that

1. He may insert pictures on graves.

2. Or he can make the grave against the Sunnah of Prophet SAW.

So this order was literally for infidel graves as quoted in Noble Bukhari;

Dear Prophet SAW ordered to demolish the graves of polytheists.

CONCERN

There is a group in Muslims that have huge wealth in their pockets against the Sunnah of Prophet SAW. This wealth has turned their hearts black. Consequently they are not able to realize the beauty of shrine and blessings due to shrines. And with hard and brutal hearts they claim shrines as 'shirk'. And consequently they have damaged pretty shrines in Holy Madinah and Holly Makkah.
