This is verified by Holy Quran in the address of Hadrat Salih (Methusaleh) AS and Hadrat Shu'aib (Jethro) AS. Also we can listen the address by Prophet SAW in Ahadith.
ADDRESS BY HADRAT SALIH AS
Let us read the address about Hadrat Salih AS. This is in Chapter 7, verses 78-79.
78. Consequently, the quake annihilated them, leaving them dead in their homes.
79. He (Hadrat Salih AS) turned away from them,
saying, "O my people,
I have delivered my Lord's
message to you, and advised you,
but you do not like any advisers."
ADDRESS BY HADRAT SHU'AIB AS
Let us read the address of Hadrat Shu'aib AS while his people were finished by Allah JSN.
This is Chapter 7, verses 91-93 of Holy Quran.
91. The quake annihilated them, leaving them dead in their homes.
92. Those who rejected Shu'aib
vanished, as if they never existed.
Those who rejected Shu`aib
were the losers.
93. He turned away from them, saying, "O my people, I have delivered to
you the messages of my Lord, and
I have advised you. How can I
grieve over disbelieving people."
ADDRESS BY PROPHET MUHAMMAD SAW
This is hadith in Noble Bukhari, Volume 1, Hadith No. 1279;
It is quoted by Abdullah bin Umar RA, Prophet SAW came to the infidels buried in well and called to them; Have you found correct the promise of your Lord. The companions of Prophet SAW asked; Are you calling to dead ones? Prophet SAW replied; You cannot listen better them but they cannot respond (like you).
SPIRITUAL PRESENCE OF PROPHET SAW
By the God Blessing, all the souls remain alive after physical death of the individual. The successful souls are free in their movement and travel as per wish of Allah JSN. The souls of prophets are supreme souls. And what about the dignity of soul of head of Prophets! That exists all over the universe.
